The falls in the fall

Not long ago, I joined a local photography club that arranges opportunities for members to go to a variety of different locations - from the zoo to the local park to fashion shows - to photograph a variety of different scenes. This past weekend, we went on a wonderful trip to the mountains of North Carolina, where we had the opportunity to visit several of this state's many beautiful waterfalls. Here are a few shots I took while there:

Looking Glass Falls
Estatoe Falls
Mills Shoals: two falls in a single frame
Hooker Falls on a crisp, cold morning
I love this shot of a fellow photographer at Hooker Falls

  1. These are all so beautiful! This is the second post about NC falls in sweet shot I've found today! We vacationed in NC last summer, but I don't think we visited any of these. We went to Elk River Falls and a couple other small ones on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's such a gorgeous state. I wish I lived closer.
