Wordless on Wednesday

Yesterday I spent some time at the chapel on Duke's campus. It's worth the visit!

I couldn't resist tinkering with this image - it seemed MADE for black & white!

  9. Just beautiful! Old architecture always leads me to wonder, where did we go wrong with our boring boxes of buildings these days! Love it!

  43. What a beautiful church. I especially love your shot of the corridor with it's arched doorways and shadows. So many of the older churches have such amazing details in them, inside and out. My post this week is of churches too. I hope you have a chance to check it out!

  47. Love the photos. We lack much 'old' architecture here in Alaska. It's something I miss about the east coast where there are buildings over 200 years old.

  49. Beautiful. I love the gothic style of so many of the churches around the world. If you haven't ever been to the National Cathedral in Wash DC (or DC itself) be sure to take a vacation and visit sometime. It's beautiful. You'll also want to visit Ford's Theatre (where Lincoln was shot) along with the other usual touristy spots.
