Motion on Monday

When I was a kid, baseball was the last thing I wanted to watch. Now we go regularly to watch our home team, the Durham Bulls. I've enjoyed trying to capture the action, and wanted to share a few shots here.
The toss

The follow-through

The swing
Connection!

And a few shots of kids enjoying the game:

This last shot was taken as this boy slid into home plate in a race around the diamond with Wool E Bull, the team mascot.

I'm sharing these shots with these great sites - Sundays In My City, SOCC Sunday, 52 Weeks of Happiness, Scenic Sunday, The Simple Things, Sweet Little Photo Swap, Pic Story, and Blue Monday

Be sure to stop over & enjoy!

  1. To me, there's a HUGE difference between watching the game on TV and being there. I would LOVE to live closer to a team so we could go often!

  10. At a game in Durham or wherever, there is a quiet solitude on the field interspersed with blindingly fast action: the crack of a bat, the ball being captured in a glove and the umpire's defiant call 'OUT', and such. I like the leisurely pace of a baseball game.

Naturally, there is plenty of action in the stands, too. Watching the players on the field, and our kids off that field, we are ready to capture it all!
