Strongsville Ohio gorilla attacked by banana

Yep. You heard right. But of course there IS a bit more to the story.

It seems that there are more and more businesses lately that hire a mascot of sorts - say, a life-size chicken - to parade outside of the store carrying a sign advertising for the business. It IS an attention-grabber. Even in this day and age, most people look twice if they see a 6 foot tall chicken.

At any rate, there's a cellphone store in Strongsville that has a gorilla as its mascot.  And to the surprise of the store manager and the chicken, someone in a banana suit leapt out of the bushes and jumped on the gorilla. The gorilla went down but was uninjured (other than having his head temporarily knocked askew).

The gorilla got up, straightened his head, and returned to work. And, according to the local newspaper, the banana split.
