Homework, days 7 & 8





As I mentioned a few days ago, Faith - from Simplicity: My Life in Mostly Photographs - has just started an online class called "30 Days of Simply SLR". While the class is supposed to have a few assignments that offer some challenge for experienced photographers, much of the material is pretty basic and understandable to someone like me. And I'm continuing to share my "homework" here.

I admit I've been remiss in completing my homework assignments, but I have an excuse. No, the dog didn't eat it... especially since we don't have a dog. And the cats didn't eat it, either... they're too finicky. But yesterday's assignment was asking for an experiment with light - taking photos of a simple object both indoors with different apertures and outside in different angles of sunlight. And yesterday we didn't have any sun - we were getting much-needed rain. Today, however, I shot this series of shots=====>>>>>


And for the assignment for today, I'm actually doing today's assignment!  The task: shoot "ordinary things" from around the house, noting the potential for getting good shots even from the ordinary. I sort of like this one:
