Another photo jaunt

Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so. God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.
– Genesis 1:29-31

I'm sharing the picture at my right for Photo Challenge 13: Simple,

I wouldn't have thought the shot below would "work" as well as it does with so many "unrelated" blossoms. So I learned to step out from my comfort zone a bit.

The lavender beauties above are being shared at Textures, a weekly photo challenge.

These prickly pear blossoms are "Straight Out Of The Camera". I'm beginning to tinker a bit with photo editing software, but these are so pretty I didn't think they needed a thing!

These photographs were taken yesterday at the North Carolina Botanical Garden. I'm sharing them at Exploring with a Camera, Texture Twist, Flowers on Saturday and Pink Saturday as well.

I took this last one looking up at a tree alongside of the road. I don't know what kind of tree it was. Can someone please clue me in? This pic is being shared at Skywatch Friday, Mellow Yellow Monday, and Monday Rewind.

These images remind me of some... SOME... of the reasons to thank God this weekend! Stop by God's Perfect Promises and share some of your reasons to praise Him!

I'm sharing these photos at 52 Weeks of Happiness, Macro Monday, Today's Flowers, & Sweet Shot Tuesday.

And I also ran across an interesting old building on my travels this week. I wish I'd have been able to visit this place before it got boarded up: it looks like it would have been interesting. I wonder what the story is behind its name?

At any rate, with tongue in cheek, I'm sharing this shot at Scenic Sundays, Sundays In My City and Straight Out Of The Camera Sundays.

Please visit Theme Thursday as well, where I'm sharing this shot for this week's theme, "Reflections":

  11. "I have given every green plant for food"

Notice that in Eden animals are not food.
