No, I could not watch it without tears. I think I stopped short of full sob, but still pretty damp cheeks sitting here.
Twice in my young life when I realized how much my Dad loved me it led to me beginning to have some awareness of how much love, how much infinitely more my heavenly Father loves me.
Then when I had my own children I again realized if I love this baby, or child so much, how much more does God love them, love me?

I shared this story at a jail a few years ago. I told the guys that it was a picture of how God runs to us when we need him the most and I shared about how the Father ran to embrace his prodigal son.
