Before and After

Join the fun at Pixel Perfect's Before and After challenge. This week I'm sharing something I did just for fun

You may remember that I posted about an invasion of 13-year locusts. I'm fascinated by these things - see the post here.

So this week I decided to play a bit with one of the pix I took of these buggers. Here's a "before" shot:


I then used Corel PaintShop to adjust the vibrancy, then the brightness and contrast. To me, it almost looks like you can "feel" the textures without having to touch the cicada (which I do NOT want to do)!

  4. Hi Kathy - I think you're right, but it was the cicada I was trying to bring out. Would you have another suggestion? I'm very much a newbie at this, and would love to learn how to achieve better results.
