I have to admit I'd love to be hanging out somewhere when a "flash mob" comes on the scene. Some of the "flash mob" videos I've seen are outstanding! But this one is for an outstanding cause: finding a cure for breast cancer. It's estimated that 207,090 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in the United States alone in 2010. Check out
Susan G. Komen for the cure to find out more about breast cancer.
I share this video in honor of friends who are survivors of breast cancer - Susan, Gretchen, and Betty.
Wow! Cool!!! Oh! Nearly forgot! You've been tagged! Cathy
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Susan G Komen is that the foundation gives a lot of money to Planned Parenthood--the nation's largest abortion provider.
ReplyDeleteI have BC survivors in my family and I understand the need for research and treatment. I don't get how Komen can give away money donated to them in good faith that is meant to help women with cancer, to an organization that encourages procedures that are unequivocally linked to that cancer.
No pink ribbons for me.
I wasn't aware of that, Barb, and will have to do a bit of research to confirm. If what you say is true, I find that very disappointing. It seems the two issues have nothing to do with each other. I wonder why they'd divert money from breast cancer research (a worthy goal that few if any would quibble with) to abortion funding (which is controversial to say the least).
ReplyDeleteVery troubling.
Thanks for your post.
